Puncha Nutsを求めて、Controradoを訪れたRenton、Eureka、Matｔhieuの三人は、この町に住むRentonの叔父Yukatanに捕まってしまう。
三人を歓迎して近燐の友人たちも招いた酒宴で、あることないこと口からでまかせを言う叔父に、“Although this isn't first time that my uncle talked about the stuff and sliped in a couple of lies and process, still makes me tired.”＝「叔父さんあることないこと話すのは、今に始まったことじゃないけど、何だか疲れる。」
EurekaもRentonのfianceeにされていたことを後でEurekaに謝るRentonに対して“I wasn't really listening too much.”＝「ごめん、あまり聞いてなかったから。」。それよりも時間を気にしているようで、“We really have to get back to the Gekko prety soon. I knew you promised to be back by 3:00.”＝「そろそろ月光号に戻らないと。３時までって約束でしょ。」
“Can you please just wait a little bit longer before we go back to the Gekko?”＝「もう少しだけ、待ってくれないかな。」 “Why?” “As you can see my uncle is a kind of hard hit guy. And hard to care up with proper timing to tell him things. That, and we still have not got a Puncha nuts we promised to bring back with us.”＝「叔父さんってあの通りの人でさ、言うタイミングがちょっと難しいんだ。それにパンチャの実も取りにいかないといけないしさ。」
それを聞いて、では自分が叔父さんに話しに行くと言うEureka。“I'll tell him myself.”＝「俺が言うから。」
ところが、酔いつぶれたMatｔhieuには縄がかけられていて、何やら事態は一変している。出てきたYukatanたちが言う、“I am surprised you able to infiltrate the enemy syndicate this well as a spy. Well done.”＝「Spyとして、よくこれ程敵組織の中に潜入できたな。よくやった。」、これを聞いたEureka、“He is not a spy. He is one of us. He is a pledged member of Gekkostate.”＝「何言ってるの。Rentonは、スパイなんかじゃないわ。彼は仲間よ。月光ステートの正式メンバーよ。」 infiltrate＝「潜入する」、take a pledge＝「誓約する」、make a pledge to do＝「．．．することを誓う」
必死でRentonと月光ステートとの関わりをスパイ行為だったことにしようとするYukatan、“Everyone, it looks like my young nephew here has been brainwashed by the enemy. Your friends here are fooling you.”＝「皆さん、甥は彼らに洗脳されてしまったようだ。お前は騙されているんだ。」 brainwash＝「洗脳」はそのままで覚え安い。fool（動詞）＝「笑いものにする」の他に「騙す」の意味があるんだ。
“Who is the informer?”＝「通報者は。」そこに、憲兵らしきものまで来襲するにおよんで、事態はやばい方向に。 informer＝「情報提供者、密告者」
“Hold it! This is a bunch of crap. I haven't been brainwashed by anybody. It's you uncle, and all of your bodies here have been brainwashed. I always looked up to Gekkostate and decided to join them all on my own. It was nothing to do with my father, nor you nor my sister. I am who I am.”＝「来るな。畜生、ふざけやがって。俺は洗脳なんかされてないぞ。洗脳されているのは、叔父さんたちの方だ。俺は自分から憧れて月光ステートに入ったんだ。父さんも、叔父さんも、姉さんだって関係ない。俺は俺だ。」 look up to＝respect、admire⇔look down on
軍に拘束されたEurekaとMatｔhieuをＮｉｒｖａｓｈを駆って救出するRenton。しかし、自分なしで自由自在に大空を舞うＮｉｒｖａｓｈの姿を初めて目の当たりにして戸惑うEureka。帰還後も何やら問題続きのようだ。“Anyway, it was away amazing.”＝「とにかく凄えんだよ。」 “Oh, stop that. You are embarrassing me!”＝「やめてくださいよ。恥ずかしい」 “Don't be so humble. You still a kid. You got the right to brag.”＝「がきのくせに謙遜するな。自慢しろよ」 “Would you cut it out, already？”＝「勘弁して欲しいな」 embarrass＝「当惑させる、どぎまぎさせる」、 humble＝「控えめな、（卑下して）つまらない」、 brag＝「自慢する」
“You reek of booze.”＝「酒臭い」とHildaに怒られて連れて行かれるMatthieu、散会後にはHollandとRentonだけが残る。 “Renton, make sure that you take care of what you started.”＝「Renton、後始末は自分でつけろよ。」 “ What are you talking about？ Off course, I'll take care of it.”＝「何言ってるんですか。当たり前ですよ。」 reek＝「煙る、むっとする」; He reeked of garlic. The room was reeking of cigarette smoke.
このPuncha Nuts事件後の経過がRentonの独白で語られる。“The big health fad that had gone around Gekko quickly faded away. Since that incident, Eureka always stands in front of the Nirvash, but never even tries to touch it anymore. Not only that, she seems to be against my approaching the Nirvash and keeps pushing me back with a glare, as if I was some stranger.”＝「月光号に訪れた第５次健康ブームは静かに去っていった。あれ以来Eurekaは何故かNirvashの前に立つばかりで、触れようともしない。それでも僕がNirvashに近づくことには反対らしく、他人を見るような眼で僕を威圧する。」
“Honestly,that's depressing me, and it pisses me off, only a little. I mean, Eureka is mad that I manipulated the Nirvash without her consent, right. Because, I was able to control the nirvash better than she could. That is why.”＝「正直へこむし、ほんのちょっとだけどむかつく。だって、Eurekaは僕が勝手にNirvashを動かしたことに怒っているんだろう。僕が君より上手くNirvashを扱えたから。だから。」 manipulate＝「巧みに操る」
